A flat monthly fee, no commission, every sale paid directly to you.
When somebody pays you $40 for a cake, $40 lands in your bank. The small cost of moving the money by card is theirs, added at the counter. Nan Made takes none of it, and never will.

A Quick Turnaround Is Never Pressure.
Turn on I bake special occasion cakes and people can ask you for a wedding cake, a birthday cake, a cake for forty. You read the ask, you name your price and your day, or you send your thanks. Half is paid when they say yes and the rest a week before the day, and it reaches you when they pick it up.
The day is yours to name. A quick turnaround is never pressure on you — if somebody has come to you late, a little late is theirs to carry, not yours.

Ask Gigi is our Gift Oracle — somebody tells Ask Gigi who they are buying for, and Ask Gigi finds them the right one. Anything you post that keeps — shortbread, a fruitcake, a jar — can be offered there as well. One tick on the listing, and Ask Gigi may put it in front of the very person who has been looking for it. They come here, to your shopfront, and pay you here. Nothing is added to your ten dollars, and every cent is yours.

Women over 50 are ageing into poverty in this country. More than three in four single women renting in retirement are living below the poverty line. These are not strangers. They are us — our friends, our sisters, the woman three doors down, and very often the woman reading this.
Nan Made was built because a woman with fifty years of skill in her hands should not be choosing between her medication and her power bill.
