Society thinks women over 50 are on the way out. Have we got news for them.
We are the vital, electric pulse of our communities. We have experience, creativity, skill, humour, resilience and a lifetime of knowing how to make something beautiful from what is in front of us.
We are the Women of Wisdom — the generation that’s going to change it all, with batter on our hands and joy that refuses to back down.

Why We Built This
We’re Baking A New
Story For Women.
Women over 50 are ageing into poverty in this country. More than three in four single women renting in retirement are living below the poverty line. These are not strangers. They are us — our friends, our sisters, the woman three doors down, and very often the woman reading this.
Nan Made was built because a woman with fifty years of skill in her hands should not be choosing between her medication and her power bill.
We are the generation who can change this. Not for a few of us. For every woman in Australia, and every girl coming up behind us.
